Microsoft Publisher

A tool that I have discovered that's very useful is Microsoft Publisher. This program creates newsletters, banners, cards, brochures, etc. all kinds of stuff that you and your students can make. It's very easy and it's very fun! It also looks very professional. You can use it to make up school play programs, brochures about a certain species or place, newsletters for your student's parents about the different activities that have been going on for the past month or a whole newsletter for the whole year. It provides you with all different kinds of templates you and your students can enjoy!

Powerpoint Activity Book

I think that the Powerpoint Activity Book was a great tool to learn from to present the material for the curriculum to be taught in the classroom. The activities were fun to learn for me and I'm sure for my students as well. There are a variety of activities to choose from in this book. It spans the different subjects taught in school as well. Also, I liked how it showed which activities were appropriate for the specific grade levels. It gave me great ideas to learn what I can teach to my students using powerpoint. I'm sure they would like to do these activities as well themselves or something similar to them!

digital cameras

After reading about digital cameras for our project this past week, I think that all of those lesson plans and ideas sounded so great to use in my classroom. Digital cameras really makes learning more fun and interesting! I could use it for pretty much anything that I wanted to use it for in my classroom. It will also be fun for my students to learn how to use a camera and the skills they can learn as well to make a good photograph.

Culture Grams

A good tool for the classroom is Culture Grams. I think this is a great tool because students can learn fun facts about different countries around the world. It provides information about the people, culture, language, food, music, everything! I think that this would be a great tool to use for country reports that they have to give in the upper grades. They can also use this to show other classmates the website too and ask them questions about what they would like to know. It's a great tool for everyone to learn together!

powerpoint

A great tool that I thought would be very helpful in the classroom is powerpoint. I think that students can express their creativity much more when they use this tool because you can do almost anything with powerpoint. It has so many great features and it is pretty easy to use. My students could use this tool for presenting a report, showing statistics in a math class, presenting a science fair project, extra curricular activities. There are so many things to do, and I think that the students and myself would thoroughly enjoy using this great tool.

I think it would be a fun tool to use because it helps students create pretty much any event they want to! (A bake sale, a report, a newspaper.) There are so many different and fun things you can do with this program to help students express their creativity in their assignments and projects.

UEN website

A tool I discovered this past week that was useful was the UEN website. I couldn't believe the great amount of resources, lesson plans, and links to help teachers, students, and parents to make learning easier and fun! I think it gives students and teacher more of a variety to learn how to teach and to learn from the many resources. It's easy and everyone access it easily. It definitely makes everyone's job a little more easier!
