powerpoint

A great tool that I thought would be very helpful in the classroom is powerpoint. I think that students can express their creativity much more when they use this tool because you can do almost anything with powerpoint. It has so many great features and it is pretty easy to use. My students could use this tool for presenting a report, showing statistics in a math class, presenting a science fair project, extra curricular activities. There are so many things to do, and I think that the students and myself would thoroughly enjoy using this great tool.

Microsoft Publisher

A tool that I think would help students in my classroom is Microsoft Publisher. This program creates newsletters, cards, announcements, flyers, you name it! I think it would be a fun tool to use because it helps students create pretty much any event they want to! (A bake sale, a report, a newspaper.) There are so many different and fun things you can do with this program to help students express their creativity in their assignments and projects.

UEN website

A tool I discovered this past week that was useful was the UEN website. I couldn't believe the great amount of resources, lesson plans, and links to help teachers, students, and parents to make learning easier and fun! I think it gives students and teacher more of a variety to learn how to teach and to learn from the many resources. It's easy and everyone access it easily. It definitely makes everyone's job a little more easier!

blogger

A new tool I found that could help my students out is blogger.com. I think that it could help them because it can show me their interests and what they like to do so I know where they are coming from. I could use examples of their hobbies while I am teaching in the classroom so that it causes them to create interest in that subject. For student of the week, each student can create their own blog and we can spotlight someone and they could then share their blog to the rest of the class. I can email the parents and their students about announcements, notes, and grades too. They can also contact me if they need help with anything else there needs to be done.
